vusive is a music project that has stemmed from various backgrounds and influences that has a large focus on improvisation and live instrumentation. Coming from a classical background of studying the violin for 14 years, as well as a background in live bands (having been self-taught on drums/guitar), vusive delves into a live mix of synthesizers, drums, guitar, bass, violin, and soundscapes of various nature.
Vusive has shared the stage with various acts such as Thriftworks, Ill-Esha, Random Rab, and Milo.
Meiosis [my∙oh∙sis] makes electronic beat music with an instrumental twist. Live appearances often feature improvised synth solos and visual projections. Part of the Cinthesizer Crew (Cincinnati, Ohio).
Juan Cosby makes alternative hip-hop music with tropical bass influences. He is currently the producer and touring DJ for Counterfeit Money Machine, and has recently shared a stage with national acts Busdriver, Nocando, Open Mike Eagle, Awol One, kid DEAD, Louis Logic, Milo, and F. Virtue. Cosby is the winner of multiple Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for Best Experimental/Electronic Act with his group Chick Pimp, Coke Dealer at a Bar, and was recently featured on CincyMusic.com and UK’s Scratch the Surface podcast. Locally, he holds down a weekly hip-hop VJ event at Chameleon, manages his record label, Grasshopper Juice Records, and host indie festival AYE Music & Art Festival.
